Big, bright open cluster approximately 18' across.
10.1" reflector  36 x 
M34 is a very loose open cluster about 6 degrees NW of Algol (Beta Persei). Approximately 1 degree across can see about 40-50 stars. Very pretty at low power. Discovered  by Charles Messier in August 1764. 180 million years old, 1500 light years away.

North at 4 o'clock, East at 1 o'clock.
