A compressed open cluster rich in stars, at least 60-70 of them resolvable. It has a triangular shape pointing roughly northward (upper right). One brighter 8th magnitude star marks the SW corner of the triangle. A second sort of grouping lies to the south of M52 consisting of 8th and 9th magnitude stars forming a chain; this group however doesn't   have a cluster designation in the star catalogs. The field of view simply brims over with stars!

North is at P.A. 30 degrees.
