10.1'' reflector 96 x Speers-Waler ep. Takes a couple of sweeps to find, located in a fairly blank area on the Capricornus border. Appears as a small condensed ball of stars on the verge of resolving, about 3'-4' in size. One of the least impressive Messier globulars, partly due to lack of sky contrast, only about 20 degrees above the south horizon for Canadian observers. |
