10.1'' reflector 165 x with OIII filter This gently glowing planetary nebula is fairly easy to spot at low power about a degree NW of phi Persei. At mid- to higher powers can see some detail, the shape is kind of like a squarish peanut, or two bulbous spheres in contact, with the upper part slightly bigger than the lower part but the lower part slightly brighter. There appears to be a dark spot in the middle dividing the peanut in half. Size is approximately 2' x 1'. North at 2 o'clock, East at 11 o'clock |
